Seacoast Capital Announces Investment in Bus Service, Inc.
BOSTON, October 6, 2026 — Seacoast Capital (“Seacoast”), a lower-middle market non-control growth capital investor, announced today its recent investment in Bus Services, Inc. (“BSI” or the “Company”), in support of a recapitalization and strategic acquisition that expanded both the Company’s footprint and capabilities, while also vertically integrating operations. Seacoast provided a combination of subordinated debt and preferred equity in support of the transaction.
BSI, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is a nationwide value-added reseller and service provider of Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) buses, vans, and mobility vehicles. The Company is majority owned by Timmerman Capital, a Columbus, Ohio-based investment firm with committed capital to acquire and grow privately-held companies.
Josh Whitt, CEO of BSI, commented “We are excited to have partnered with a firm that shares our vision for the future of BSI, and most importantly, a partner that shares our passion and drive to deliver best-in-class solutions to our customers. In Seacoast we believe we have found a firm that can not only assist us with our capital needs, but also with strategic advice as we execute on our plans.”
Alan Rich, a Partner at Seacoast, added “We are excited to partner with the BSI management team as they continue to build a leading platform in the ADA mobility vehicle market”, further noting “We believe systemic tailwinds, including the ageing of the U.S. population, as well as a shift in preferences towards smaller, more economical ADA mobility vans, provide BSI with opportunity to drive substantial growth. This acquisition meaningfully expands BSI’s geographic reach, while also enhancing its integrated service offering. We look forward to supporting the team’s continued growth.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
